JOYEROS ARGENTINOS (Argentina)
Joyeros Argentinos is a lively and dynamic space that has been connecting contemporary Argentine jewelry artists for 18 years. Through its continuous work in the field of visibility, reflection, and networking among artists, communities, institutions, museums, galleries, related disciplines, and international collectives and cultural actors, it has gained an important place not only in Argentina but also in the wider Latin American and global space. Joyeros Argentinos is simultaneously a collective, a platform, and a space for visibility, action, organization, critical reflection, and professional validation. They organize exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and meetings, while remaining closely intertwined with the social reality they live in and consciously taking a stand on the issues they address. Since 2016, Paula Isola and Laura Giusti, as leading members, have also been organizing the Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry through Joyeros Argentinos. Selected members of the project are participating in the exhibition in Slovenia, contributing to an international dialogue on contemporary artistic practices and current social, cultural, and environmental issues with their works.
