SABINA KOLONIĆ, Croatia

Deconstruction of Style. Perception of Nature.

Sabina Kolonić breaks down the entire form of a brooch into a composition of three brooches titled Deconstruction of Style. Perception of Nature. Brooch/Vase/Installation. In the original form, deconstruction of nature first occurs through the transformation of a picked twig, which is sharply cut off from its environment (garden, forest, park) and reduced to a simplified form, which develops into a brooch/vase and finally into a wall installation. In the second and third brooch, the volume of the brooch/vase is deconstructed (and thus the artistic style) into simpler forms, leading to a set of smaller brooches that can be arranged into the original or completely new visual compositions.
