MARTA DOBRYNINA
Belgium

Statement

This research delves into the interplay between different materials, exploring how they communicate and enrich one another.

The contrast of colours plays a pivotal role: Marta is drawn to black for its depth and mystery, a shade that holds an entire universe within its darkness. Green, on the other hand, evokes the genesis of new energy, a vibrant force of renewal. These two colours stand as dual facets of existence – shadow and light. They oppose each other, yet neither can truly exist without the other.

Marta Dobrynina, an interior designer who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in 2007, developed a fascination with small objects connected to the human body. She later studied contemporary jewelry design at Rhock Academy, earning a laureate distinction in 2018. Marta established her atelier, attended workshops, and began participating in exhibitions.

A member of BeCraft since 2019 and active member of Les Brucelles asbl since 2022, she has exhibited in Germany, Italy, Spain, Romania, France, and Belgium.

To Marta, a piece of jewelry is not merely an adornment; it illustrates architecture in miniature, where the delicate equilibrium between emptiness and fullness assumes paramount importance. The object itself holds as much significance as the space that envelops it.
