The ❜ series begins with a process of seeing material as something new and unknown. When I repeat simple shapes, small differences naturally arise, and these changes quietly shift the feel of the material. Adding powder coating to handmade metalwork helps to better reveal this process. Repetition helps me focus and find piece, and each repeated movement carries a small trace of my inner state. The titles indicate the number of repeated units, making the process visible. Through these actions, the work explores how the material can be shaped and understood in new ways – through repetition, choice, and the movement of the hand.
