1,5°C / What keeps us moving
The WMO announced last year that in 2023 the global target of limiting warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels was exceeded. Fossil fuels remain the primary energy source, while rising temperatures are also driven by the shrinking of snow-covered areas, which best reflect solar radiation. The artwork’s concept includes the definition of energy as a system’s ability to perform mechanical work. By moving the central part of each piece (changing our mindset or making a decision), we cause a shift in position or rotation around an axis (changing energy production methods). The piece consists of a ring and four pendants, which can be mounted onto a pin or earring.
