ERIN YIRAN LI, China
The broken boundary
“Every individual possesses an invisible shell, acting as a permeable membrane that both protects and fosters an appreciation for one’s surroundings. This concept of boundaries mirrors the protective energy we generate against outside energies that push us into broader society. These boundaries shape how we relate to the world and each other. My collection explores how relationships evolve with shifting influences, much like energy transitions reshape the world. Inspired by cocoons, eggshells, and fruit peels, I use reinforced eggshells and silver to symbolize the balance between fragility and resilience, reflecting the fluid nature of boundaries and personal transformation.”
