DALIJA SEGA

Dalija

The Dalija brooch offers an intimate insight into my confrontation with eating disorders. At its core, it reveals a quiet but persistent struggle for control – for a moment of stability in a world that is constantly in motion, elusive and unpredictable. When life becomes overwhelming, control shifts to what can at least be seemingly held in the palm of the hand: the relationship with food and with our own body.
Dalija speaks of the beauty and fragility of life intertwined with anorexia – of insights that brake through the pain and the weight we carry when trying to be lighter than we can be.
