“To me, stone is a distilled form of substance, a material that records time and preserves traces of presence. In an age of digital acceleration, working with stone takes me back to a fragile, fleeting moment of the present. The present often slips by like a breath between moments, seemingly insignificant in the vast flow of time. Yet within this fragility lies immense power: each moment is both the origin of countless futures and a passage through them.
When time stops, this fragile moment expands into something infinite, capable of carrying thoughts, touch, gaze and presence. Stone helps me re-experience the fullness of the present
moment – revealing substances not just as matter, but as a way of experiencing time itself.”
