Bloom light – energy in bloom

This pendant embodies the concept of energy transformation and shows how kinetic energy – the energy of movement – can be harnessed to create a play of light in jewelry.

An electric motor is hidden in the pendant. When we spin it, our kinetic energy, through the rotation of the magnetic field, is transferred to create an electric voltage in the copper coils and the motor produces electricity. The latter then illuminates the LED lights in the flowers of the botanical elements and brings them to life.

This piece symbolizes the symbiotic relationship between human-created technology and the natural world. The cold mechanical precision of the motor contrasts with the warmth and organic nature of the botanical elements, reflecting the dynamic relationship between human innovation and the delicate balance of our ecosystem.
