RIKKE LUNNEMANN
How Much Care Do You Need Today?
A five-meter-long bandage, gilded with 24ct gold leaf.
You can cut it off – a small piece if you need a little attention, a larger one if the day is really painful.
It is jewellery, but it is not only that.
By adding the weight of gold to a disposable object, its purpose changes:
what should disappear on the skin becomes something worth revealing;
what was meant to be temporary begs to be preserved.
The gold bandage transforms fragility into presence – not weakness, but truth.
A silent, ritualistic attention, where a trace of pain becomes something, we choose to acknowledge, carry and transform.
In the end, it asks only this:
How much care do you need today?
