MIGUEL MATOS, Mozambique/Portugal
Sea of poetry
This piece of jewelry interprets the relationship between the material and the spiritual, inspired by the waves of the sea and the depth of Fernando Pessoa's poetry. The large, polished silver form is versatile – wearable as a necklace, belt, bracelet or as a sculpture. The wavy silver plate evokes the fluidity of life, while the large silver pearl form on top symbolizes the wisdom and beauty that emerge from the depths. The black fabric that wraps the jewelry represents tradition and protection, allowing multiple uses. Just like Pessoa's work, which takes on diverse forms, this piece of jewelry seeks authenticity and resistance to imitation, celebrating the essence of human experience. In this context, jewelry transcends matter and reveals itself as a living expression of our search for meaning and connection.
Material: silver 925
