As a designer, he is particularly interested in shapes and forms. Once he finds a form, he enlarges or repeats it. He then focuses on exploiting the possibilities of that form as a starting point for the development of the design.
Working with shapes and colours is important. Shape gives the dimension to the design, and colour brings warmth. One way of working is to “play” with a shape and several layers of handmade paper of different colours, which sometimes creates an intriguing hybridization that gives the impression of something woven.
