The doyen of Croatian art jewelry Lazer Rok Lumezi rarely creates religious jewelry, so the Jasna Gora pendant, inspired by the architecture of a great Marian shrine, is a significant departure and at the same time a unique deconstruction of his own style.

Lazer Rok Lumezi was born in 1945, in Skadar. He is a distinguished artist in the field of applied arts and small sculptures and one of the leading creators of contemporary artistic jewelry. He is a member of the associations ULUPUH, HZSU, HDLU and Matica hrvatska. He has more than 30 solo and 60 group exhibitions and has collaborated with the Knights’ Order of Alka from Sinj. In 1996, he founded the “Open Atelier Lumezi” and the “Master’s Workshop,” within which he passed on the knowledge of traditional and modern jewelry-making techniques to more than 135 participants. His work opens up a new area in contemporary metal design, where he achieves monumental effects even in miniature. He lives and works in Zagreb.
