HASAN KURD, Palestine/Germany

Extension

It is widely known that the creation of tools marks the beginning of civilization. This project aims to explore the cultural, material and philosophical connections between the body and tools, culture and language. By examining the symbolic and utilitarian functions of tools, the author attempts to analyse this historical connection through the creation of abstract tools and jewelry.

Material: Carrara marble

Technique: hand cut, sculpting, filing, polishing
