Eva Rogl Mežnar
Heritage Collection
All the things you've lost, necklace
Too much, necklace / belt
Cry me a river, headpiece
The Heritage collection intertwines the past and the present, reflecting the energy that comes from the designer's personal culture and heritage, including African roots. This energy guides her in expressing herself through every piece of jewelry.
The All the things you've lost necklace combines donated pieces by friends, lovers and family, as well as items with personal sentimental value. Each element carries love, pain and unspoken thoughts.
The Too much necklace / belt is a collection of kitsch that reflects how people define her – too much, but this is precisely her artistic expression.
The Cry me a river headpiece is a crown decorated with cowrie shells, which served as currency in Ghana (shell money). It symbolizes transition, strength and history related to the author's heritage.
