BLAŽKA ŠIFRAR

Bistra

Barely visible, but still present, the jewelry fits the shape of the body exactly and does not want to change or upgrade it, but only draw attention to it.

It has three supporting points that rest on the body. Made of glass, it gives a feeling of coldness and refers to the Triglav National Park – the former Triglav Glacier. Metal accents point to the constant presence of Slovenian alpinism, and the white fabric wraps the body, just as mists wrap around the peaks of the Alps.

Bistra appears as a premonition of a mountain fairy from old Slovenian tales. With its glass-ice shield, it draws attention to an untouchable beauty that cannot be grasped and is therefore often overlooked.

The jewelry was created under the mentorship of Asst. dr. Tina Cotič, with the professional assistance of contemporary jewelry designer Sandra Kocjančič and with the help of the teacher of practical glass techniques at the Rogaška Slatina School Centre, Zinka Kobula Kamenšek.
