The Seed of Life

This jewelry collection pays homage to life and new beginnings by combining shapes, textures and elements that refer to germination and metamorphosis. The forms build the macro morphology of seeds with a layered construction and an inside that represents the source of active life. This process illustrates the transformations in our lives, regeneration and spiritual journey. We move from one phase of life to another, just as nature moves from one season to another. Jewelry is a way of expressing our unique style and personality and carries a message, a concept behind it. In this way, unique jewelry becomes a wearable work of art, a wearable sculpture that is part of the wearer and complements it. The first three pieces from the collection were created and exhibited at the exhibition curated by Andreia Popescu for INHORGENTA 2024 jewelry, watch and gemstone fair.

With a background and a career in the visual arts – ceramics, having completed numerous courses in traditional techniques and alternative materials in contemporary jewelry at the Assamblage Jewelry School, the artist creates jewelry with delicate porcelain textures, coloured resin volumes, and sterling silver. She believes that through good design and other art forms, we can create new concepts of wearable art that encourage the wearers to embrace their uniqueness. Most of her ceramic works and jewelry are composed of multi-component wholes, with richly textured surfaces, reliefs, and intense colours. The play of light and shadows transforms the surfaces of her artworks and jewelry into kinetic surfaces.
