CUPERRA Collection: 1. Ring "RUSTICA"; 2. Ring "LUMEN"; 3. Ring "CELIS"
Rings from the Cuperra collection combine copper and clay, two seemingly different materials. Soft, rounded forms combine metal elements embedded in the clay surface. In this dialogue between shine and soft lustre, and between metal weight and clay sensitivity, a harmonious relationship of two substances is created, which complement and visually balancing each other.
Material
Copper, artificial clay
Technique
Hammering, rolling, soldering, grinding, polishing, modelling, etc.
NATAŠA DRUŠKOVIČ, Slovenia
After completing her studies in painting, she initially worked as a teacher, later as a draughtswoman of archaeological objects, which led her to become interested in jewelry making. She complements sculptural forms with textural finesse in various techniques of metalworking and other diverse materials. She creates jewelry that radiates a dialogue between the organic and the geometric, the robust and the smooth, the archaic and the contemporary. Through designs, she expresses her thoughts on the relationships between materials, shapes and structures. Her exploration of this is a reflection of her personal experiences, vision and knowledge, which are closely connected to (or rather a consequence of) the environment and the society in which she lives. She is a member of ZDSLU and the Kranj Art Association. She participates in various exhibitions at home and abroad.
