CARLOS IGNACIO BELLANTE, Argentina/Croatia

Rećine Remake

The artist created Rećine Remake, a motif that has long been familiar to him and close to his heart. Traditional earrings worn in Dalmatia in the 19th century undergo a kind of deconstruction and recycling, as he replaced the filigree baskets with parts of watch mechanisms, creating an attractive, environmentally friendly and easy-to-wear form of contemporary jewelry.

Material: silver, part of a watch mechanism, baroque pearl

Technique: silver soldering, part of a watch mechanism, soldering
