The exhibition Alegría / Joy, featuring thirty-two international designers, will be on display in Izola.

Joy in Contemporary Jewellery

Joy in contemporary jewellery represents diverse approaches that celebrate life, creativity, and emotional connection. It is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and innovation, reflected in design, material choices, colours, and forms.

Many jewellery pieces—brooches, rings, bracelets, and earrings—on display at this exhibition incorporate vibrant colours, playful shapes, and innovative materials, evoking feelings of happiness and vitality. Each piece tells a personal or collective story, transforming the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Focusing on sustainability and creativity, the use of recycled or unconventional materials adds a layer of hope and responsibility. This fusion of aesthetics and social awareness reinforces the idea that art can serve as both a source of joy (Alegría) and a means of transformation. In this context, jewellery is not just an accessory but a medium of emotional expression, human connection, and a celebration of life’s beauty.
