Yeonjie Kim

Inspired by the sunlight welcoming the start of a daily journey, her fine contemporary jewellery project Light represents warmness, softness and the relaxing feeling of sunlight. The optical phenomena of light have been designed and crafted through the traditional process of Keum boo using 24k gold foil fused onto sterling silver. Shimmering sunshine and rays depicted by hand engraving complete the impression of sunlight.

Yeonjie Kim is a fine jewellery maker and a metalworker from South Korea who graduated from the MA Jewellery and Related Products course at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham City University in 2023. She also holds a BFA (a Bachelor of Fine Arts) from the Department of Crafts, Sungshin Women's University, Korea.
