Spegulo
"Spegulo by VulcanaArt" is a handmade jewelry line crafted from recycled industrial aluminum. Its name, which means "mirror" in Esperanto, refers to the reflective properties of the material used. The pieces are polished to a high shine and embellished with black Swarovski crystals, giving them an elegant and sophisticated look.
The concept behind "Spegulo" was to create a large, timeless, minimalist piece of jewelry that is versatile for all occasions and comfortable to wear. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand, ensuring its uniqueness and quality.
By using recycled materials, "Spegulo" promotes sustainability and environmental consciousness. The combination of industrial aluminum and Swarovski crystals creates a beautiful contrast between the rugged and refined, making it a perfect addition to any jewelry collection.

Under the name VulcanaArt, I design, transform, recycle and create useful items. This is no longer just a job for me, it is my way of life. I am fortunate enough to have been teaching art for 25 years, which allows me to incorporate my creativity into my work.
After years of designing jewelry using various materials, I discovered that industrial aluminum would become the foundation of my work. I am lucky to come from Slovenska Bistrica, where creating aluminum semi-finished products has been a long-standing tradition. As a result, I take pride in creating designs from locally sourced materials.
I experiment with the material, using techniques such as cold and hot forging, bending, rolling and hammering to transform it into the shapes I envision. I enjoy creating jewelry, especially pieces that are bold, striking, and unique – pieces that cannot be worn by everyone. When designing with aluminum, I incorporate stained glass, polymer clay, and occasionally Swarovski crystals. I create each piece of jewelry according to my current inspiration, but strive to make it functional, timeless and non-traditional.
Every piece of jewelry has visible traces of the tools I have used, which give it the value of being handmade. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, and always comfortable to wear.
